14) The First Introductory Report of Tansistor

'Electronics’ which carries detailed report on transistor ( Expandable)

My recollection is that the first magazine in which the invention of transistor was reported is the July 12 1948 issue of Time, one month after the public announcement by Bell Telephone Laboratories.
According to Torao Ichinomiya previously mentioned, he customary purchased Time magazine at Tokyo Station on the way to work and he came across the article titled "Little Brain Cell" in the science column of the magazine. The photo of the transistor was attached in the article. He believed that this was very hot news. And he went to the office with excitement on the next morning. Then he and his colleagues were called by Hiroshi Seimiya, Senior Manager (Later, he became president of Fujitsu) of the lab. It was his surprise that Seimiya already knew about the news and brought up the subject of the transistor in his talk.
Meanwhile, a professional magazine Electronics described the detailed report on the transistor in the September 1948 issue. The coverage of the 4 page report by the magazine writer of Electronics was pretty much in detail. The photo shown above is the first page of the report titled "Transistor – Cristal Triode."
